Innovate Dorset recognise that there are many reasons why a young person may not feel able to engage in mainstream education, and our excellent tutors work to reduce the gaps in their education while attending an alternative provision. Working within small groups, young people experience education appropriate to their level, as well as the chance to achieve formal qualifications in a patient, supportive, and trauma informed environment, enabling them to reintegrate into mainstream education, go on to access further education or training, or find employment.
We offer Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT starting at Entry Levels 1, 2 and 3 and moving forward to Levels 1 and 2. Functional Skills are applied qualifications which enable students to demonstrate real-life skills in English, Mathematics, and ICT.
We also offer Duke of Edinburgh and ASDAN short courses.
