Services
Each session is designed to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes both academic achievement and personal development.
In addition to face-to-face learning, Innovate also offers virtual online tutoring sessions for young people who may require remote learning. These virtual sessions mirror the structure and support of in-person tutoring, with tutors delivering lessons and engaging students through an interactive online platform.
At Innovate, we take a structured and personalised approach to tutoring, ensuring that every young person receives the support they need to succeed. Our program is designed to offer transparency, consistency, and collaboration with other services connected to the young person’s education and well-being.
Each young person begins their journey with a baseline assessment during their first session. This assessment enables our tutors to create a bespoke education plan tailored to the individual's specific needs. Progress is tracked with assessments at the beginning of each term, allowing us to continually adapt and refine the education package as the young person develops.
Following every session, a detailed report is written covering key aspects of the young person’s progress, including:
To ensure consistency and clarity, we provide a weekly, customised schedule for each young person. This schedule includes session times, dates, events, and the name of their assigned Youth Engagement Worker (YEW). This helps the young person stay organised and prepared for their sessions.
Our commitment to the young person’s development extends beyond tutoring. Appropriate members of staff will attend professional meetings and reviews related to the young person’s progress. We work in close collaboration with other provisions and services involved with the young person, ensuring a unified approach to their education and overall well-being.
We take attendance seriously, with robust systems in place to monitor each session. If a young person misses consecutive sessions, alerts are issued to ensure any underlying issues are addressed promptly.
At Innovate, we value the involvement of parents and guardians in the learning process. Termly Parents’ Evenings are held to review the young person’s progress, discuss any challenges, and set new objectives. These meetings provide an opportunity for parents to engage with tutors and Youth Engagement Workers, gaining a deeper understanding of the support their child is receiving.
We also welcome feedback from both parents and learners. This feedback is critical in helping us continually refine and improve our services. Learner and parent feedback are used to gather insights into the tutoring experience, and suggestions are actively considered to enhance the learning journey.
Our team provides dedicated support to help young people transition back into school, further education or apprenticeships. We work closely with them, offering guidance and assistance to ensure a smooth and confident reintegration into mainstream education or the next step in their learning journey.
At Innovate, we are committed to delivering a holistic and personalised tutoring experience that supports both the academic and personal growth of each young person in our care. Through open communication with parents, consistent feedback, and tailored learning plans, we strive to create the best possible outcomes for every learner.
