Young People and Children can benefit from having a positive role model in their lives in several ways. These include building self-confidence and self-esteem, learning about positive relationships, building strategies to control emotional behaviours and resilience.

Through positive and progressive mentoring, our staff promote the importance of education to young people, in whichever form that takes. This encourages young people to look at their own personal goals. Progressive mentoring and tutoring encourages young people to take steps to move forward and to achieve their best outcomes.

Through positive and progressive mentoring, our staff promote the importance of education to young people, in whichever form that takes. This encourages young people to look at their own personal goals. Progressive mentoring invites young people to take steps to move forward and to achieve their best outcomes.

Being out of an educational setting can be difficult for young people and their families. Through our progressive mentoring, we offer young people opportunities to explore their barriers to learning and then support them into a new educational setting once one has been identified.

Once the referral form has been received and our services commissioned, a member of our team will contact the family to arrange an informal meeting. This is an opportunity for everyone to start to get to know each other and to answer any question that the young person or family may have.

A staff member will then be identified as having the appropriate skills to meet the young person's needs.

We proudly offer a bespoke service that ensures the young person's voice is heard and supported as an advocate where necessary.

Innovate Dorset will accept referrals for children and young people from Local Authorities, schools, parent or guardian.

Innovate work with young people aged 5-25 years old, offering a bespoke package to meet a young person's needs. Our staff are qualified in a wide variety of specialisms; however, if we cannot meet the individual needs, we will identify this at the point of referral.

Our sessions are quoted as 2-hour sessions; however, this can be changed to meet the young person's needs.

Innovate Dorset also offers small group sessions to support young people in a wide variety of areas and address social isolation.

These sessions are available for mentoring and tutoring, and we are happy to discuss any specific needs. Please contact us if you would like further information about this service.

As part of our bespoke service, we will collect and return a young person to a pre-arranged destination; this is usually home or school.
