MENTORING

WHAT IS MENTORING?

  • Mentoring young people is about creating a trusting relationship and sharing experience to help you learn and achieve your potential.
  • Mentors are positive role models, who can inspire, encourage and guide you to achieving your goals.
  • Mentoring takes place within the local community, we also have access to Youth Centres and our Hubs.
  • Mentoring sessions often focus on social, emotional and independence life skills.
  • We offer Post-16 sessions where we focus on life essentials, independent living skills, and personal development. Such as opening bank accounts, applying for college places/apprenticeships and learning about rent/mortgages.
  • We are an accredited Duke of Edinburgh provider.
  • Through our mentoring we can explore ASDAN courses, which are educational programs designed to support development of personal, social and employability skills.
