and thank you for visiting our interim service, where your young person is at the centre of everything we do.
Whether you're looking to use our Mentoring or Tutoring services, 16+ Projects or Holiday Activities, we promise you responsive, professional & friendly service.

Young People and Children can benefit from having a positive role model in their lives in several ways. These include building self-confidence and self-esteem, learning about positive relationships, building strategies to control emotional behaviours and resilience.

Through positive and progressive mentoring, our staff promote the importance of education to young people, in whichever form that takes. This encourages young people to look at their own personal goals. Progressive mentoring and tutoring encourages young people to take steps to move forward and to achieve their best outcomes.

Established in 2018, Innovate Dorset ltd is currently an alternative interim provider for children and young people currently NEET.

The mission of our qualified teachers is to enable positive changes and provide opportunities to develop knowledge, skills and improve behaviours by delivering bespoke, quality tutoring that nurtures new skills and provides opportunities and the chance to practice some learnt ones.

Our goal is to ignite a passion for lifelong learning and rebuild students' desire to continue seeking learning opportunities to advance later in life once they have either rejoined mainstream education or moved on to employment or further training.

This ethos is not to let children or young people fall through the education net, as we desire everyone to have access to the basics of education so that students can unleash their real potential.

Our commitment to this never stops; by providing bespoke packages of learning opportunities for children and young people, creating positive learning strategies and positive experiences lasting into adult life.

Young People can benefit from having a positive role model in their lives in several ways. These include building self-confidence and self-esteem, learning about positive relationships, building confidence and resilience. Our mentors and tutors understand the privileged position they hold and work with young people in a safe and supportive environment to achieve the best outcomes.

Through positive and progressive mentoring, our staff promote the importance of education to young people, in whichever form that takes. This encourages young people to look at their own personal goals. Progressive mentoring encourages young people to take steps to move forward and to achieve their best outcomes. Being out of an educational setting can be difficult for young people and their families. Through our progressive mentoring, we offer young people opportunities to explore their barriers to learning and then support them into a new educational setting once one has been identified.

Once the referral form has been received and our services commissioned, a member of our team will contact the family to arrange an informal meeting. This is an opportunity for everyone to start to get to know each other and to answer any question that the young person or family may have.

A staff member will then be identified as having the appropriate skills to meet the young person's needs.

We proudly offer a bespoke service that ensures the young person's voice is heard and supported as an advocate where necessary.

Innovate Dorset will accept referrals for children and young people from Local Authorities, Schools and parent or guardian.

XLR8 work with young people aged 16+ years old, offering a bespoke package to meet a young person's needs. Our staff are qualified in a wide variety of specialisms,  however, if we are unable to meet the individual needs, we will identify this at the point of referral.

Our sessions are quoted as 5-hour sessions 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday, for 38 weeks.

We are happy to discuss any specific needs your Young Person may have for these XL sessions. Please contact us if you would like further information about this service.

As part of our service, at the beginning of their time with XL, we will collect and return your young person to a pre-arranged destination, this is usually home or school, but eventually, during their time, we will expect them to find their own transport to our XLR8 project. However, transport during the day for education or activity will still be supplied by Innovate Dorset.

Sorry - we're updating this page.
